Mary's Final Message: Boise, Idaho USA

MARY’S BOISE MESSAGE ….

"Christ, by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, gives authority to everyone to perform services in the name of the Gospel. Laity have their responsibilities, regardless of what the Bishop says or does."

Bishop Remi DeRoo,   p. 185;  "Even Greater Things, Hope and Challenge after Vatican II"   Novalis 1999.

The 2009 Boise Idaho regional convention of the Catholic Church’s Oldest Knight’s Order suddenly became an opportunity to validate current, ongoing Marian Visions that are occurring in the local Treasure Valley.  The main visionary’s Spiritual Director, Monsignor and Acting Bishop, the late John F. Donoghue (2009) endorsed Mary’s final messages in God’s Grace, “It contains messages from the Blessed Virgin Mary.”

Boise was host to a prestigious group of Papal Knights.  Also in attendance was retired Latin Patriarch Michel Sabbah, the former Grand Prior of this chivalric order.  The Northwestern Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem just named Mary O’Brien their Lieutenant last December; Mary O. is the first Lady ever to lead a region of this order.  Father Don Fraser, Pastor of Our Lady of the Lake in McCall, Idaho is also the Councilor of the order; Canon of the Basilica in Jerusalem; and celebrant at the opening Mass, Friday 3 pm at St. John’s Cathedral.  Father Don also headed a small welcoming committee, including myself, at the Boise airport, to receive Bishop Tod Brown from the Diocese of Orange who would celebrate Mass at St. Johns 9:30 am on Saturday, and the Archbishop of San Francisco and current Northwest Prior, George Niederauer who would preside over Mass Sunday at 3 pm during the investiture of the 31 new candidates.  Pope Benedict XVI had appointed Cardinal John Foley, a Philadelphia native, as the first Grand Master from America in 2007.  Father Fraser confirmed to me he had heard that Cardinal Levada may attend, but he was still in Rome as of this time.  The arriving Bishops were expected into Boise at 1 pm from San Francisco, but their takeoff was delayed about two hours because of fog on the runway.  Upon their arrival, I met and spoke with Bishop Brown of Orange, the former Bishop of Boise (1989-1998).  Bishop Brown had been the Bishop of Idaho at the time the Visions were first reported in 1990 and confirmed that the Reverend John Donoghue had investigated and believed Mary’s Messages.  The Bishop appeared surprised when I alerted him to the other multiple ongoing Visions of Mary in Idaho.  Mary’s Messages are filled with love and conversion to God, but they do include an ominous timeline.  For example the message from June 25, 1991, (on the tenth anniversary of Medjugorje’s First Marian Vision) “THIS IS THE LAST TIME HE WILL ALLOW ME TO COME BEARING THESE MESSAGES AND IN HIS GRACE, HE HAS GIVEN ME PERMISSION TO SPEAK TO MANY.”  Mary’s Message continues…“AS IT IS IN MEDJUGORJE, SO IT IS IN BOISE.”  Bishop Brown stated Friday, at the Boise Airport, that the Catholic Church did NOT fully investigate it.  The Magisterium (teaching authority of the church) is charged with intervention in these Revelations of the Virgin Mary so as to interpret, specify and explain them.  The late Father Donoghue, “I see these messages as homilies from the Blessed Mother.”

BACKGROUND/RELATED FACTS

Mary has been appearing in Visions to Souls since the first century A.D., the first recorded Vision being in Spain.  In the last 110 years, there have been almost 400 investigated Visions of Mary around the world and 70 have been dismissed by the Church as fraudulent.  Most are classified as open with no further comment.  However, Marian Visions with recorded messages and multiple witnesses represent special challenges and concerns to the Catholic Church.  Only ten have been fully recognized by the Church: Guadalupe, Mexico (1531); Fatima, Portugal (1917); Lourdes, France (1858); La Salette, France (1846); Our Lady of Laus (1664-1718); Our Lady of Hope, Pontmain, France (1871); Beauraing, Belgium (1932-33); Banneux, Belgium (1933); Lady of Akita, Japan (1973-88); Our Lady of Miraculous Medal, Rue du Bac, France (1830).  Very few meet the stringent criteria.  Most still draw large numbers of pilgrims.

Garabandal, Spain (1961); Medjugorje, Bosnia (1981-2009); and Boise (1990-2009) all have ominous warnings to convert and present special challenges for the Catholic Church.  The ongoing Marian Visions of Boise and the surrounding Treasure Valley are on a very exclusive watch list.

Garabandal, Medjugorje and now Boise all had prophetic messages that were validated by onsite investigating Priests.  They all spoke in some manner about conversion of hearts back to God…..but with the definite tone and verbiage about time running short.  From Mary’s Message in Boise dated 6/25/1991, “SATAN HAS HAD MUCH POWER AND INFLUENCE, BUT HIS TIME IS RUNNING OUT AND HE IS BECOMING DESPERATE.”

As a Knight of Columbus (4th degree) I know the Church is a stoic, provincial, prudential ‘Rock of Ages’.  Sounds good to me.  God’s unchanging Eternal Truth in Scripture and even dogmas are charged to the very capable discerning Magisterium, the teaching authority of the Church.  But capable also means reliable and flexible, for example, as demonstrated by releasing sensitive information at appropriate times.  Remember, the Papacy did admit suppressing the Third Secret of Fatima from its initial scheduled release in 1961 until 2000 during Pope John Paul II’s visit to Fatima, Portugal.  It dealt with predicted ‘End Times’; the destruction of the Church and the fall of atheistic Communism.  A prudent release happened only after a successful turn by the world into the third millennium.  The passion of possible end times was quieting down.  Communism was almost gone.  Simple timing.

Something similar and prudent appears to have happened in Boise.  The Church, in her Wisdom, has up until this year monitored (through the Late Father Donoghue) the local Visionary (also named Mary) and her very spiritual support group through weekly meetings and even breakfasts after daily Mass.  This casual attitude of the Church is not in any way cavalier, but appropriate.  Now, with the story developed by the additional visionaries, Mary seems to be promoting her message, “It is God’s Plan that as many as will may hear.”

A local group of Boise, Idaho Catholics visited Medjugorje, Bosnia in the 1980’s, with Father Donoghue.  They were motivated by two things; one - Author Wayne Weible visited Boise in the 1980’s promoting his book, “Medjugorje - The Message.”  His website (www.medjugrojeweible.com) and monthly newsletter go out to millions of faithful and in the mid 1980’s, and two - Pope JPII told Archbishop Sylvester Treinen of Boise (1962-1988) to “Authorize everything in regards to Medjugorje.”  So, they visited the most popular unauthorized holy site, and were not disappointed.

Many unexplained miracles happen at Medjugorje, among them the metals of jewelry changing substances.  While visiting the Medjugorje site, Father Donoghue’s necklace changed from gold to silver and Kathy P.’s Rosary changed from silver to gold, confirmed by a metallurgist.  Pope John Paul II instigated World Youth Day in 1986, inspired by the theme of “youth” evident in the early messages from Medjugorje.  Pope JPII also said, “The supernatural is evident at Medjugorje.”

Pope John Paul II’s love of Mary was further revealed through his own Vision of Her.  During the attempt on his life May 13th, 1981 (also on the anniversary of Fatima’s first apparition), the Pope understood an “invisible hand” of Mary deflected the bullet, saving him from certain death.  Pope John Paul II’s remarks seem in stark contradiction to Pope Benedictine XVI’s recent defrocking of the Catholic Priest (July 2009) who initially investigated and validated Medjugorje.  However … remember the Church delayed the release of the Third Secret of Fatima “Message” for four decades because of concern for possible fallout that might destabilize world affairs.  The conservative Church likes to let things unfold historically with time.  The world’s conventional wisdom can be “guided” with prayer, growing and developing to meet the Church’s eternal wisdom and the understanding of Her mysteries….

Mary’s Message in Boise says that this is her FINAL MESSAGE.  Mary wants many Souls to hear it.  Again, “It is God’s Plan that as many as will may hear.”  The other local Visions of Mary have had no recorded messages meant for the public, no intended general revelations.  Aside from Father Donoghue, the Catholic Church has not and will not promote a message of such intensity that can conjure up fears of approaching Judgment Day and other end of the world scenarios.  Garabandal, Medjugorje and Boise are examples of the Church’s purposeful intent to stay in a ‘hands off’ non-inflammatory position.  The Church’s position on Judgment Day is that no one knows when that will be, not even the Messiah.

Visions are mysteries that cannot be fully explained with our limited human understanding.  Souls ‘know’ the identity of who is appearing in their vision … and so it is with the five different associated Boise/Treasure Valley Visions of Mary.  Those are:

1)    Boise, Idaho USA, September 1990.  Repeated visions and messages from Mary, dated and recorded from visionary Mary H.  They usually occurred during or after praying of the Rosary, with messages for public revelation.  The visions happened in many locations, among them the Chapel of the Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart, 811 S Latah, Boise.  Visions and messages were approved by her Spiritual Director and Priest, the Late John F. Donoghue.  “May all who read this booklet be filled with the love of God of which it speaks.”  Messages were recorded on a Sony tape recorder and typed by Fran M. as “A Mother’s Lessons.”

2) Caldwell, Idaho USA, 2009.  Ongoing visions by multiple parishioners at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 1122 W Linden St, Caldwell.  The Blessed Mary appears weekly during perpetual adoration in the Chapel at the base of the Bell Tower.  No ‘public’ messages.  The Vision of Mary is only about the size of a small hand.

3)    Boise, Idaho USA, 1989-2009.  Sherry G., a local Boise attorney has also received weekly personal messages from the Blessed Mother during praying of the rosary.  Sherry was with the local group that visited Medjugorje in 1989, and was the self-professed skeptic.  Sherry has advanced degrees in Psychology but experienced her jewelry changing to gold, confirmed by a Boise jeweler.  Sherry has also seen a crucifix animate.  Her Spiritual Advisor is Father Donald J. Riffle who monitors her messages.  Sherry built a chapel in her house, and leads a monthly prayer group at All Saints Episcopal Church, 704 S Latah St, Boise, which is located across the street from the Church of the Sacred Heart.  Sherry puts out a newsletter and met with Bishop Tod Brown in the 1990’s about her revelations.

4)    East Bakersfield, California to Boise, Idaho, December 1984.  Daryl Breese was among many residents to view an Apparition of Mary that was seen on the stucco wall of a house underneath hanging Christmas lights.  The apparition did not vary when the Christmas lights were changed.  The Church considers this vision still open.  The author had a subsequent vision of an Angel on January 3, 1994 in his living room that was reported to the Catholic Church.  In 2000, he experienced Holy Spirit Encapsulation (HSE), the truly womblike warm peaceful feeling of perfect contentment while praying for wisdom to understand Scripture.  Like many visionaries he feels compelled to spread the word of love and eternity.  Daryl’s spiritual journey led him to the Boise area in 2008.

5)    Fresno, California to Boise, Idaho, December 15, 2005.  During the challenging birth of a third child (she just had their sixth this month), this visionary was praying a Hail Mary when being wheeled in for an emergency ‘C’ section. The Blessed Mother then appeared in the Fresno, California hospital and told her, “Do not worry.”  A complete feeling of peace fell over her, and the birth went fine.  Later in 2006, during a morning prayer in her living room, she received a message with an accompanying ‘floral aroma’ from the Blessed Mother.  Mary asked her to move her family to Boise.  Her husband, Tom S., is a Knight of Columbus.  These private messages from Mary are considered personal, not announcements meant for “all that will hear.”  So, they did indeed move to Boise, as requested by Mary.  Like many visionaries, she continues to receive ongoing revelations.

Over 500 Apparitions of Mary have been recorded by the Church.  Almost 400 since 1900.   Only ten are fully authorized.  Thirty-six have enjoyed some level of authorization.  The encyclopedic book by Desmond Birch, “Trial, Tribulation and Triumph” explores many miracles and revelations.  Birch writes about approved prophecies of the “Age of Mary/ Age of Peace” as predating Judgment Day.  There is an obvious increase in reports of Marian Visions in Idaho.  So…could Boise really be Mary’s Final Message?

Many Souls have fear of ‘final days’.  Films and books today seem to exploit that fear.  The History Channel even ran a program, “Decoding the Past: Doomsday 2012.”  Yes, in three years, the winter solstice on 12/21/2012 will bring the earth, sun and a black hole that exists at the center of our Milky Way Galaxy into direct alignment.  First time in 25,800 years.  Yes, according to scientists, there is a chance for a possible reversal of the magnetic field effect, and resulting ‘pole shift’.  Yes, this is noted in the Mayan Calendar.  But… mankind has been around for many pole shifts.  This 2012 date also takes place around the same time as the expected dawning of the ‘Age of Aquarius’ and its predicted shift of cultural consciousness that could mean world peace!  The Catholic Church promotes awe of God, and in that respect, by definition - fear of God.  But the standard Church answer to ‘fear of end times’ is simple….your time is better spent in prayer.

This past weekend, I attended Masses in beautiful Saint John’s Cathedral with visits to the Knights’ Convention at the Grove Hotel, in downtown Boise.  I heard Mary described as “The Queen of Palestine”; “The Arc of the New Covenant”; “Queen of Peace” and “The Blessed Mother.”   In Mary’s Boise homilies she wanted herself referred to as “Our Lady of Prayer.”  These final messages from Mary are filled with a mother’s love.   From Mary’s heart to ours.  Yours.   Mary’s gracious words are timeless.  Enjoy them.

But to love and have peace, Tolstoy says it well…

“Let us forgive each other, only then will we live in peace.”

Father Don Fraser K.C.H.S. was the celebrant of Friday’s Mass at Saint John’s Cathedral.   Canon Fraser’s book, “Behind the Wall” gives an insider’s frank look at life in Jerusalem from the letters he wrote home to Idaho during a four month sabbatical there.  The Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and the location of Jesus’ empty tomb, is shared through a militaristically enforced ‘status quo’ among the religions descending from Abraham: Judaism, Islam and Christianity.  As a religious center of the world, life around the Holy Sepulcher became an appropriate point of focus for his book.  Father Don writes from his heart, concluding that if we can love one another by example we will have peace in Jerusalem.  If we have peace in Jerusalem, we will have peace everywhere.

Peace Be With You!  God Bless Us All!

Thank You Mary.

Humbly,

SK Daryl Breese
